If you haven't been reading then you don't know that I work in the mall. At the mall there are escalators. I like escalators they make me feel like The Flash running up steps. The amazing things about escalators is that when they are not working they are conveniently formed to become steps. Unlike an elevator which is just a box on wires hanging in a rectangular tube in the middle of a building. Or even stairs, when stairs are "out of order" you usually have some sort of structural problem with your building. So today when I took my lunch break and made my way over to the food court I was surprised to find the up escalator out of order. Not only was it out of order it was roped off. How does this make sense to the world?
I would also like to to share a story I heard:
A man is walking down the street and he falls down a hole. The walls are so smooth and there are no handholds that he can't get out. Soon enough a doctor walks by and the man yells up, "Doctor, I'm stuck down this hole could you help me?" The doctor looks down the hole writes the man a prescription and throws it down to him and walks away. Soon enough a priest walks by and the man yells up, "Father, I'm stuck down this hole could you help me out?" The priest looks down at the man writes down a prayer and throws it down to him and walks away. A little while later the mans friend walks by and he yells up to him, "Buddy, I/m stuck down this hole could you help me out?" The man's friend jumps down the hole with him. The man looks at his friend and asks, "why did you do that? Now we're both stuck down this hole." The friend smiles back at him and says, "Yeah but I've been stuck down here before and I know the way out."
Neither of those things have anything to do with the other but as I said in the title. Sorry for the inconvenience.
