We'll Be Right Back

So I had this plan to write scathing posts about the airline industry and TSA. I was going to bring everyone to a point of belief that there would be no greater justice in the world then to fore go air travel until we saw some changes. I envisioned a world without airplanes and homeless flight attendants committing small acts of thievery just to eat. I saw the common man rising up to fight his airline overlords. This is not going to happen.

For one people like flying as it is faster then driving somewhere, even though in some cases it may be faster to just drive. I mean driving doesn't involve claiming baggage, security, waiting on the tarmac, taking off, turbulence (at least no physical turbulence unless you drive on the rumble strip), landing, more waiting on the tarmac, waiting for everyone else to get off the plane first, crying babies (unless you have a baby), finding baggage claim, waiting for your bags (that is assuming they made it on your connecting flight[s]), and then finding a ride from the airport to your actual final destination. I mean with a car it involves packing the car, getting in the car, stopping for gas and a restroom, sleeping (if it is a long car ride), and arriving at your destination. Which seems easier now?

Secondly people seem to not care that TSA employs incompetent people to do a very sensitive job. Yeah people complain but no one actually insists that something be done about it for fear of committing some form of treason. Homeland Security needs to train their employees to do go above and beyond in protecting us or they should just stop. TSA agents in charge of security check points that didn't catch something should be reprimanded and fired. They are there so NOTHING will happen. That is why you can't bring nail clippers, shampoo (over 3 oz.), nail files, knitting needles, razors, and all sorts of other things. So if something does happen, or someone is caught after the security check point those people are not doing their job and should all be fired. If I went to work this evening and just sat in the back room doing nothing I would get fired. My job is to sell children's clothing and make sure the store is neat and tidy. So if I am not selling the clothes or making the store neat and tidy I am not doing my job. I mean it is common sense.

Lastly, not all flight attendants and airline employees are jerks. I have actually never met a mean flight attendant and I hope I never do. Yet they are out there and they should be given the same treatment as the TSA agents at security. A flight attendant is called a flight attendant for a reason. They are there to attend to you during the duration of the flight. Yeah they will bring you drinks and an extra pillow but they should go so much farther in their attending. I am not suggesting anything sexual, although you never know... I only kid. Airplanes are way to small for me to enjoy a good romp. I am saying that they need to help people with their stuff. It is hard enough dealing with the ticketing agents, baggage claim, TSA and all the other passengers that we should have a nice respite with our flight attendants.

I actually intended for this to be about the word fuck but I digress so much that I will have to save that for another day.

Thursday.
